My boss is not Jewish; does my office need a mezuzah?

Question:

I recently started a job in a public company. It was the first time I have worked in the corporate world; up until now my employers were always Jewish. I was quite relieved when my manager told me he had no objection for me to put up a mezuzah on my office door. But now that I am thinking about it, I am wondering whether there is any reason to put up the mezuzah, since the office is not mine really.

Answer:

Commonly, a company reserves the right to reallocate offices at its discretion. Unless you are renting the space, or you have been formally designated a permanent room, you are exempt from any obligation.[1]
